Unlock Your Dental Dreams: Scholarships for BDS in Nepal 2025


Aspiring dentists, your chance to study in the vibrant Himalayan nation is here! The Government of Nepal, through the Medical Education Commission, has allocated 575 seats for the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program across 15 esteemed dental colleges for the academic year 2025.

Scholarship Opportunities:

The government is committed to making dental education accessible to all deserving students. In 2025, a total of 575 seats are allocated in different colleges for the program BDS. Out of which,  112 scholarships are awarded for BDS studies. These scholarships are divided into two categories:

  • General Scholarship (55%): 61 seats are awarded purely based on merit in the MECEE-BL BDS entrance exam, regardless of background.

  • Reservation Scholarship (45%):  51 Seats are reserved for students from specific socio-economic backgrounds, ensuring inclusivity and equal opportunity.

Reservation Categories:

The reservation scholarship is further divided into sub-categories, promoting diversity and representation within the dental profession.
